Update: March 2019
Pixie has been returned to the rescue through no fault of her own. We are glad to have this girl back and offer her for adoption again. Pixie and Trixie are both able to be seen in Lexington. Both of these girls are very loving and playful gals. They would love to be part of their very own family.
Pixie and her two siblings Smoky and Trixie came to us from one of our colonies that had been TNR’d for many months. They showed up with the momma, who at the time was very pregnant, and by the time we could get there to trap mom, she had disappeared to give birth. Mom was obviously dumped at the colony. Once the kittens were weaned we rapped mom and babies. The babies came into our rescue and Mom was spayed and vaccinated and returned to the colony. (Mom was very feral.) Pixie is very sweet, she loves kids and other cats and kittens but we have yet to introduce her to our dogs. She has seen them through baby gates and she didn’t react to them at all, so we expect her to be fine with them.
Pixie’s vetting is complete and she is now ready to go to her furever home on August 1st once she heals from her spay.
Update October 6, 2018
Pixie has completed all of her vetting and she is ready to leave for her forever home. She is great with dogs, cats, and kids. She will fit into almost any family. She can be very loving and sweet but in typical female fashion, it’s on her terms.
